A collective voice for the Great Salt Lake and the issues that shape Utah.
Your name. Your choice. Our collective voice.
The Undersigned is a small group of Utah community leaders coming together to speak up for the Great Salt Lake and the environmental issues that affect its future.
The Great Salt Lake is one of Utah’s most extraordinary and important natural resources, and the decisions being made today will shape what happens to it for generations. The Undersigned creates a simple way for people who care about the lake, Utah’s public lands, and our communities to lend their names and voices when those decisions matter.
Here’s how it works: when an important issue comes up, members receive information about it and decide for themselves whether they want to add their name in support.
Nothing is automatic. Nothing is assumed. There is no requirement to agree on every issue.
Sometimes that might mean signing a public statement or letter to the editor about the Great Salt Lake. Other times, it might mean raising concerns about mining or development in an environmentally sensitive area, protecting Utah’s public lands, or speaking up on another important issue affecting our state and communities.
When members choose to sign on, The Undersigned turns individual voices into a collective one: a group of respected Utahns willing to put their names behind an issue they believe deserves attention.
We are intentionally keeping the group small, with no more than fifty members. Our purpose isn't to speak for one another or tell anyone what to think. It is to make it easier for thoughtful, engaged people to stand together when they choose to.
